FAITH FOR PERSECUTION

‭Luke 18:7-8 KJV‬
[7] And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? [8] I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

Hallelujah, we have different accounts in the Bible of the many saints in the Bible who underwent persecution and we can borrow this experience from the Apostles of the Lamb. They underwent serious turmoil and their end was tragic, all for the Gospel and the kingdom of God.

When we look at the christian level or the saints of today, we can’t even speak of persecution because many are far from it not to talk of undergoing it.

Many Christians are still very weak and have no faith in God at all because many are still struggling with minor things.

The so called salvation of today is majorly based on materialism and what someone can get from God in return.
If many threaten God that they will leave salvation because they slept hungry, can we really talk on matters persecution?
If many are willing to walk away because they have no jobs or any source of income, can we really talk on matters persecution?
If many still have demands and list them in prayer sessions and tell God “do it or I walk away” can we speak on matters persecution?

God is not in the picture in the so called “faith” of today, it’s all about them, what they want and what God will do for them!!!

Hebrews 12:4 KJV‬
[4] Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.

When we talk striving against sin, it means you have a different perspective for you to have this stance, meaning that this matter goes beyond you, it’s not all about you, there something you know and you stand for it!!! There’s something you’re fighting for not to loose and for you to be this way, first and foremost you will have to be selfless, sacrifial and defensive!!!

Today, how many can stand and defend their salvation and the Christ? Many are in salvation because of what they can recieve in return to which it were not so, Christianity would have ended long time ago, many are still around because God still fulfills His promises.

‭Acts 7:55-56 KJV‬
[55] But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God, [56] and said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.

Being able to stand against persecution goes beyond just being a Christian, it means there something you are holding onto, there is a secret you know. For you to be able to stand, you need to have a secret with Jesus Christ, you need to have a personal relax with Him who is the author and the finisher of our faith.
Just like Stephen, what did matter was what he had with Jesus Christ to the point where he met his death, it was worth it because in as much he lost his life, he lost it defending the faith and ensuring that the Blood of Jesus Christ wasn’t shed in vain

Look at how his death was beautiful, because the one He defended appeared was ready to usher him home to Glory. It maybe recorded here that he died a horrible death but in heaven it’s like a tag of honour, dying as a matyr!!!

In this day and age, can you die for Christ? Can you face the sword defending the faith? Can you suffer for Christ?

The first step is when you love Christ for who He is and not what you can gain in return!

He loved us unconditionally and died on the cross for us, let us love unconditionally and live fully for Him……
